The workshop will present legislative, incentive and dealer updates, as well as featuring keynote speaker, Doug Fine. Doug Fine is a nationally known, bestselling author and a speaker who has been featured on CNN, Jay Leno and others. As a freelance journalist, Fine wrote for the Washington Post, Salon, U.S. News and World Report, Sierra, Wired, Outside, National Public Radio, and other venues from little-visited jungle war zones like Burma, Rwanda, Laos, Guatemala and Tajikistan. He came to realize that he was not living in a sustainable way and embarked on a journey to become sustainable. His book, Farewell, My Subaru, made the Boston Globe Bestseller List in September, 2009. He lives sustainably but refuses to give up his full-size pick-up, laptop, sub-woofers and other modern conveniences. He has previously spoken to colleges and businesses and is ready to talk about personal transportation as well as fleets.
