Oregon DEQ Seeks Public Comment on Advanced Clean Trucks Rule Amendments – Deadline May 7 at 4 PM

The Oregon Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) is proposing updates to the state’s Advanced Clean Trucks (ACT) Rule to stay aligned with California’s regulations. The proposal includes minor amendments and a one-year delay to the implementation of the Heavy-Duty Low NOx Omnibus rule, replacing a temporary measure adopted in November 2024.

These changes are intended to provide more flexibility for truck manufacturers while maintaining regulatory consistency.

Some stakeholders have raised concerns about economic and infrastructure impacts and are calling for a longer delay to allow more time for the industry to adapt.
